Our Retreats

Peace is at the heart of the ethos at Lisnavagh House, and our retreats help the process of resting and restoring the body and mind. Each retreat includes expert tuition from our carefully selected teachers. Each retreat suits all levels and each programme is created to give you the best combination of energising exercise or tuition and relaxation.

Four our weekend retreats each guest has their own individually styled bedroom, with historic views of the gardens and parkland or there is alternative accommodation in our stables courtyard adjacent to Lisnavagh House.

Between the classes you can experience a multitude of delights as you unwind, curling up on the sofa with a good book by a big log fire in the oak panelled library, or taking a snooze in the blissful quiet of your bedroom, soaking in a luxurious bath with no time pressure, or sipping tea as you take in expansive views of the pleasure grounds.

Nature & Woodlands

For those who wish to experience a sense of space and calm while exploring mindfulness practice carefully curated to nourish you, gently guiding you in ancient meditation practices that invite stillness, deep compassion and care for your mind and body. We embrace periods of blissful silence so that you can come fully into the present moment and the extraordinary beauty of this peaceful setting without distraction. The invitation is to let go of ‘doing’ and to allow yourself to simply ‘be’.

Each programme has been designed to create practical tools for living well when you return to your life; to the distractions that separate us from feeling and knowing what is best for our health.

Getting Here

There is a regular bus service to Rathvilly (3 miles from Lisnavagh and we can collect you from here) from Dublin Busarus in with Bus Eireann www.buseireann.ie and www.jjkavanagh.ie also run a service from Dublin to Carlow town - 20 minutes from Lisnavagh and a €30 taxi ride from opposite the bus station in Carlow.
