About This Retreat:

Step into Spring at Lisnavagh

Easter Saturday 4th April 2026

As spring unfolds, Lisnavagh Estate invites guests to step gently into the new season with a diverse programme of retreats and experiences created to inspire, restore, and re-energise.

Set within several hundred acres of rolling parkland and woodland in Co Carlow, Lisnavagh’s Step into Spring programme brings together a wide range of carefully curated wellness retreats, seasonal workshops and immersive events, all rooted in connection to nature, to wellbeing and to a slower, more mindful pace of life.

To celebrate Easter and the start of Spring, Lisnavagh has teamed up with the Irish Times Food and Drink Club to create a special event for Easter Saturday 4th April.

Begin the day with a seasonal Get Growing talk led by Lisnavagh’s own gardening expert, Andrew Jordan, who will share practical insights on working with nature, planting for the months ahead, and reconnecting with the rhythms of the land.

From the garden to the table, guests will then move indoors for a vibrant juicing demonstration with wellness advocate and influencer Holly White, exploring how fresh, plant-powered ingredients can support energy, balance, and renewal after winter.

The experience concludes with a delicious, seasonal plant-based lunch prepared by the Lisnavagh kitchen — wholesome, colourful and deeply satisfying — enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings of the estate. Everyone will leave with a Goody bag filled with delicious foods from the Estate.

Thoughtfully curated and restorative in spirit, this Easter gathering is an invitation to pause, nourish, and re-energise for spring — Lisnavagh style

About Your Teacher:

The Teacher for this event

Andrew Jordan

Andrew has been involved in growing food since 2001, beginning his journey on organic farms and ecovillage projects in New Zealand and Canada.

There, he was introduced to concepts such as Permaculture, Seed Sovereignty, Agroforestry and the "Soil Food Web".

On his return to Europe, he spent several years travelling around the continent, training and working in all aspects of Regenerative Agriculture, Forest Farming, Market gardening, Therapeutic Horticulture and much more.

Returning to Ireland in 2012, he helped set up a training garden on the DCU campus in Dublin. From 2016 to 2019, he managed the walled garden at Sonairte, Ireland's National Ecology Centre. Following this, he set up his own market garden and CSA in Dublin, where he also held workshops in all aspects of growing and self sufficiency.

Currently, he is heading up the growing operation at Lisnavagh and still teaches horticulture part-time, with CDETB in Dublin.

Holly White

I embraced a plant-based lifestyle more than a decade ago and it has transformed the way I cook and live. I choose nourishing vegan meals every day and am dedicated to helping others do the same.

Ongoing work collaborations include my role as vegan brand ambassador for Compass Ireland elevating plant-based offerings in workplace hospitality and catering, and working alongside head Chef Ed Cooney in Dublin’s five Star Merrion Hotel creating dedicated plant based options.

Whilst currently completing my masters in Applied Culinary Nutrition I lead both online and in-person events that demonstrate how to make delicious, plant-forward meals accessible and enjoyable.
