Equestrian Breaks at Lisnavagh

At Lisnavagh we have teamed up with Doyle’s Equestrian Centre (situated in close proximity) to offer a gourmet stay mixed with an equestrian adventure.

Enjoy hearty breakfasts followed by long relaxing horse trails and return to Lisnavagh House for drinks by the fire and a home style cooked dinner before your slumbering with memories of your day in the saddle.

Lisnavagh House offers the ultimate mix of homeliness and grandeur, making it a most appealing destination for those seeking somewhere unique. Based on 600 acres of parkland and woodland among exclusive surroundings, Lisnavagh opens itself up to a wide range of events and stays.

Situated on the Carlow/Wicklow border about an hour or so from Dublin, there are striking panoramic views of the Wicklow Hills, Blackstairs Mountains and Mount Leinster.

Alternative accommodation is also available at Lisnavagh in our converted en-suite stables courtyard and our cosy cottages.

Horse Riding Activities:

The choice is yours whether it is an afternoon trek, some intensive training, a gallop across the rolling park-lands of Lisnavagh or a specially tailored trail ride you will experience some of Ireland’s scenic beauty from horseback.

No matter what age or level of experience, there are a wide variety of horse riding activities available for all age groups and levels at Lisnavagh in conjunction with Doyle’s Equestrian centre situated up the road from Lisnavagh House.

About Doyle’s Equestrian:

Doyle’s Equestrian Centre is an approved Horse Riding establishment on the Carlow/Wicklow border in the little village of Rathvilly. It is situated in possibly the most scenic part of Carlow, where the county’s rolling hills meet the Wicklow Mountains. There are many historic sites in the area, including the Haroldstown and Moate dolmens, both of which are within riding distance of the establishment. Glendalough, with its 6th century Christian monastic settlement and round tower, lies a short drive to the north.
