The Gardens at Lisnavagh The Gardens were originally designed by Daniel Robertson (of Powerscourt and Johnstown Castle fame, amongst others) in the 1850's. Many of the original trees and features were retained at that time. Since then, thanks to Lady Rathdonnell, much work has gone into the restoration of the pleasure grounds so that their splendour may be enjoyed for generations to come. The gardens today are loved by all who visit and Emily continues in the family tradition of restocking the borders and walled garden with rare and unusual plants. Its a treat for garden enthusiasts and gardening groups are most welcome to book in for a private tour.
"Lisnavagh is a Victorian Gothic mansion set in around ten acres of pleasure grounds. There's this feeling of grandeur as you sweep up the drive to the house. My favourite aspect of the garden has to be the spectacular Irish Yew Walk."
